2024 – 2025 Homecoming & Revival Theme

“Shifting the Atmosphere”

Repeatedly, our Lord and Savior shifted the atmosphere in the midst of our storms, trials, and circumstances. Thusly, scripture reminds us of “life is lifing.”  The word of God says, “And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling….   But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” (Mark 4:37-40)

Saints, with His faith in Father God, Jesus changed the atmosphere.  Jesus caused a stormy situation to turn into a peaceful situation.  The storm obeyed Jesus because Jesus understood the authority that mankind has in the earth (Genesis 1:26).  Jesus understood that the magnitude of His faith can move mountains and change the atmosphere (Matthew 21:21).

So, as we gather today celebrating our Homecoming and Revival, we find ourselves in the midst of life’s storms. Waves crash against our fragile vessels, threatening to overwhelm us. But take heart, dear friends! Just as Jesus calmed the tempest, He is here with us now, ready to shift the atmosphere.

In the chaos of our lives, we often forget that our Savior rests in the stern of our hearts. His presence is our cushion, providing comfort even when the winds howl. When fear grips us, we can awaken Him with our cries, just as the disciples did. And what does He say? “Peace, be still!” His words echo through the ages, reminding us that He holds authority over every storm.  Jesus is that power of stillness that we trust. So, we must exult “Faith Over Fear.” So then, why are we afraid? Our faith is the key to shifting the atmosphere—from turmoil to tranquility, from fear to faith. We can overcome our fears with faith.

Today, we want to encourage each of you as we celebrate this 2024 Homecoming and Revival Season. Let us embrace the truth: We are not alone in this boat. Our Savior sails with us, His eyes are fixed on the horizon. The winds may rage, but His presence transforms our circumstances and situations. As we welcome one another back into this sacred space, let our faith rise like the morning sun, illuminating the path ahead. And let us ‘Shift the Atmosphere’ as He did and looked to the New Horizon set before us!

Therefore, hear these affectionate words ...

Beloved, welcome home! May this gathering be a sanctuary where faith blossoms, storms yield to stillness, and hearts find rest. Together, let us shift the atmosphere—infusing it with hope, love, and unwavering trust in our Savior. And may this homecoming be a testament to our shared faith and may the winds of His grace propel us toward brighter days.
